Dr. Johnson is the co-founder and Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Community Church, Endicott, NY. Cornerstone is the result of the merger of the Historic Beautiful Plain Baptist Church and Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church. In August of 2010, the merger was official and Cornerstone became a Cooperative Religious Body in the State of New York. Cornerstone Community Church a multi-ethnic congregation located in the heart of Endicott, New York. Cornerstone is an American Baptist and Cooperative Baptist Affiliated Church.

Currently, Dr. Johnson serves as a part-time Chaplain for Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. In addition, he serves as the President on the New York State American Baptist Board of Missions, Instructor of the Broome County Re-entry Program, a Member of the Ethics Committee of United Health Care Systems and former a member of Family Violence Prevention Council of Broome County. Dr. Johnson served as a former Board member of the Broom County Council of Church. He is the founder and organizer of the Cornerstone Group. The Cornerstone Group is an ecumenical, inter-agency cooperative that seeks to enhance the lives of the underprivileged, particularly previously incarcerated person in the urban center of Endicott and Broome County. In 2015, Rev. Dr. Greg Johnson was a recipient of the 2015 Broome County Citizen Action Phoenix Award.  

Dr. Johnson has been a featured speaker for organizations such as the NAACP, the Broome County Council of Churches, the Broome County Urban League and the Men of Color Summit along with numerous other organizations.

Dr. Johnson earned his doctorate from Northeastern Seminary, Rochester NY. His dissertation was entitled: Systems Approach as a Strategy to Nurturing Health in a Merged Congregation. Dr. Johnson is a graduate of the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology Virginia Union, Richmond, VA with a Masters of Divinity.  He likewise has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and Technology from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA.

The Reverend Dr. Greg Johnson is a native of Suffolk, Virginia. He is married to Stephanie Eatton-Johnson and they reside in Vestal, New York.
